What have I been doing?

I'll tell you, I am working on a new site called Vuboy5 (5 meaning Vuboy Mark 5, because I've been going through other Vuboy website models in the past months, and Vuboy 5 was the best of 11 models...) Any way, Vuboy5 will be an official Google Website, and will be the core of all of my creations and will talk about me. This weekend, 11/10 and after, will be the reboot of  The Food Grades, and I already have over 7 different places I have critiqued, so they will be posted every week. I'm also working on putting videos on this site, so I will keep you posted. In the mean time, the photos below are the new logos for my sites.

Been gone for a while....

Yes, I have been gone for too long. Mainly because of school. After bug fixing and new updates I'm ready to begin blogging again. So, here's the news; new update, comment what you think, and also posts now come every Sundays or Mondays depending how busy I am. Also, i'm right now in the middle of building a google website, so once i'm done, I will post the link up. The website will be the core of all the other blogs, videos, and websites I have worked on. The Food Grades btw allows me to stop switching every year to 8th Grade Foodie or 9th Grade Foodie etc. But, it depends. Vote on the comments below what you think about the update, and I will answer back if necessary. Bye for now Foodies!

Like The Update?

Came a bit early, but I love it. If you do, Comment below about it! Oh, and the new link www.thefoodgrades.blogspot.com will be posted at 4:00 pm Central Time US.

Phó Liên Hoa

Hello my foodies! I'm reviewing a Pho restaurant called Pho Lien Hoa in Oklahoma. To warn you, I ordered a small and it came in a large portion.
The Pho was very well cooked, and it didn't have any watery taste to it. It also had a very good noodle consistency, and good temperature. The environment was nice, not too crowded, and the service were great! That's the foodie of the week and more coming, also, there's a change in plan for the new year update, it's now gonna be The Food Grades! Things will now be organized better! Comes out on Monday.

Jimmy Johns

Hello foodies! Since now I'm in 7th grade, the 7th Grade update will be put up August 1st. So, on to the post- Jimmy Johns!
Today I'm reviewing the Jimmy Johns in Oklahoma City right next to the INTEGRIS building. The sandwich I got was the #3 Tuna Sandwich.
It consisted starting from bottom to top was Tomato, Cucumber, Fresh Tuna, Lettuce, and finally Mayonnaise, and the taste; mind blowing. When I tried it, I felt that the bread they had used was a great compliment to the Tuna's taste. I rate this a delicious 5 stars, and for health: 4 stars due to the mayo. But it is a great place to eat at no matter if you're on a diet or not.

Candyopolis

I was at The Quail Springs Mall in Oklahoma City, and if you know what that is, than you should know it's pretty nice, huh?
The place was a clean and comfortable environment, and the candy was satisfyingly advertised.
Also the candy was very creative. For instance, my little brother bought some "Metallic Gum balls" and I found the rock candy that was mentioned in the Neuhaus Cafè post.
I'll give the rating a good 5 stars, and since it's a candy store I won't give a health rating, but I will give a creativity rating of 4.5. Subscribe of Follow- whichever word you desire to use XD.

Spanish Coke

I don't know what it's really called, but I call it Spanish Coca-Cola. I'll say that instead of processed sugar, it contains sugar cane. Also, if you don't like the dry aftertaste of regular coke, the Spanish Coke is just a little more sweeter, and has a soft, moist, and delicious aftertaste! The bottle shown on the top is about two times the size of a normal glass coke bottle. The resturaunt I got this at was at "Cafe Kacao" in Oklahoma City.
Taste rating: 5-5 Yum! Health rating: 4-5

Chicken Lolipops

Chicken lollipops are made from the center part of the chicken wing, where 1 of the bones are taken out and the meat rolled down.  It is first brined in water, sugar, salt, fish sauce, and garlic for 1 day, and lightly coated with mochiko, cornstarch, and baking powder, then fried to perfection.  It is served with a thai chili gastrique, black sesame seeds, and house pickled carrots and daikons.

Summer Sandwich Mk. 2

Today, I made a new summer sandwich. This time, I used darker lettuce, I compressed smoked turkey, and added tomatoes with it. It was taken from one of my previous recipes but I modified it for more tastiness!

Exams.

Exams got in the way of a lot if things, so now it's summer and I'm pretty sure you're thinking: "oh this is an unreliable food blog" but I'm back... Again.

Fast Pho

I love pho, if you like pho, the here's a recommendation mini! So, I like to be simple and toss stuff into a bowl, and boil it. Luckily I happened to run into some instant pho that I would recommend! So first let me point out that it is "O' Ricey!" So if you have this, you know it's good. Basically, you open the package and find all the ingredients you need to make pho, but dried. Then just throw them into a large bowl. Boil water (about 3 cups) and pour into the bowl. Finally, place a plate on the top and let it sit for 3 minutes. Then TA DA! You have some deliciousness. Jacob's Mini Dessert! (A Mini Foodie)

Yes, today, I am doing a new thing to 6th Grade Foodie and that is Mini Foodies! This Mini Foodie is going to be a dessert! Now first, to clarify what a mini foodie is. Okay, so I don't want to abandon you if you like this site, so I thought of a way to still post for you AND work in school. I wanted to work as hard as I could on both subjects, and thus, the Mini Foodie was created. It's basically a fast, easy small dessert/meal setup that you can make in just a few minutes! So, on to Jacob's Mini Dessert (Jacob is my name btw). Take any number of strawberries, over 2 at least, and place them on the edges of a round plate, or, any shape you want it. Then, take any type of chocolate baked good and cut it into a reasonable amount that won't make you full (no matter how much you want it all, don't eat it all. Just think about it this way: 1. You are on a diet, or 2. It's a mini desert. What do you expect out of "MINI"?). Finally, you can add some sprinkles of sugar to your strawberries, or not, and done! You have a balanced Mini dessert! Rating: 5-5 Health Rating: 5-5. So that's the post for this week, I will also be doing weekend meals this weekend and beyond. Be sure to subscribe or follow, and follow the Instagram account: 6th_grade_foodie ! Also watch out for the upcoming homemade cookie recipe, very good, and I also am doing holiday specials so look out for Mothers Day!!!! Peace out!

Bahama Bucks

This was asked by a few people I know, and it finally came to the time I could do it. So, I ordered something that my friend suggested, which was rootbeer float. I'd like to talk about the wait time, because the wait is a bit long, but for shaved ice, it was pretty much worth it. So, it's cool that you get to see them make it, because I could identify how they made it: Firts, they literally took a block of ice, and shaved it using a metal grater. Then, they took the first half, placed in the cup and flavored it. The second half was the dome, and it go flavored as well. The experience of eating it was great, 5 of 5, and the health, I would give an educated guess as 5 of 5, knowing it's ice. I also noticed the center was white ice! So that was cool.

New posts are coming soon! One post a week!

Tortellini with chicken, tomatoes, and garlic spinach!

This dish may not look simple, but it actually is very easy and healthy! It simply is spaghetti with sautéed chicken and grape tomatoes! I rate taste as 5 stars, and rate health in 5 stars as well!!!!

Marshmallow Fondant Cake!

When you hear the word "fondant" you'd probably think it's gross, but decorative. This custom cake made by me and my cousin, proves that wrong. This is a marshmallow fondant, that is tasty and decorative at the same time! Ingredients: 1/2 tablespoon of water, mini marshmallow bag, large bowl, powdered sugar, food dye of choice, cake recipe of your choice, and icing. Recipe for fondant: Take a large bowl such as a popcorn bowl and fill half of it depending on the size of your cake with the marshmallows. Pour water, then pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Once it's done, take it out and stir it with a spoon until it looks like a thick, slimy consistency. After that, throw it in the microwave again. While all this you should also prep and bake your cake so later it can cool. Once the marshmallows are done, grease your counter or cutting board (recommend counter) with cooking oil such as Pam, pour about 3/4 of powdered sugar on the grease, and then pour the marshmallow goo on top of that. Grease your hands well and toss and fold the marshmallow goo and the powdered sugar until it reaches a thick, dense and smooth consistency. Take the food dye, make a drop on it, and fold the fondant again until it makes a smooth color. You might have to use more than one drop to make your color, and if you want two different colored fondants, make another batch. After you color it, grease a large piece of wax paper and put your fondant on. Take a tool useful for rolling and flatten the fondant out, then from there you can cover your cake with the fondant, or cut out shapes! Your cake MUST be cooled or else it will melt your fondant! Decorate the cake with whatever sequins you want! If you can see, my cousin used the leftover fondant to make mini roses! Be creative! Raw recipe based on Feast of Fiction, but our recipe was completely custom. Rating: 5-5. Health Rating: 2-3

Fudpuckers

Since I'm in Florida now, staying at the Destin West Beach and Bay, I thought I'd find some more food! The first one I found was Fudpucker's, a seafood diner/bar/arcade! The arcade was probably designed to lose, so it can just take your money... slowly. We ended up spending like, a million bucks (hyperbole btw) there, so don't try it. The bar isn't for me, of course, but it looks good. So, the food: amazing. I chose healthy meals, such as broiled fish with a large salad and clementines, but I'll show you other people's meals that i saw there in the pics below. The fish was very good, cooked to perfection, and the other meals that other people ordered said that the food was great, and said that the food was excellently cooked and was authentic! As a seafood lover I highly recommend the crab! But if you like chicken, they also serve chicken tenders! My complete rating for this is... 5 stars in taste, and 2-1 stars in health. So that's the daily post! Stay tuned daily for more!

You need cake. You need THE cake.

Any cake lovers out there? Do you like your cake fancy? Well, the bakery Tous Le Jours is by far the best bakery I have been to. They can create beautiful cakes and pastries as seen in the picture of my mom's birthday cake! What I love about their cakes is the sign in gold on a beautiful plate of chocolate and place the plate on your cake! Rating: 5 stars, Health Rating: 4 stars do to delicious cream!

Lunch recommendations for CVMS

Ok, I'm shooting a video and editing it, so I have to do this quick. Alright, so if you go to Creek Valley Middle School, the lunch menu is very optimistic, but if you are looking for something healthy, go and get you a Chicken Wrap. Their wraps are very healthy and affordable, and taste great. Any ways, it's made of tomato, lettuce, a whole grain tortilla, and a load of turkey! Raring: 4 stars due to change of size, but 5 stars in health! Sorry for the blurry pic.

Sushi Masu

Sushi Masu. By far the best sushi restaurant next to Genroku. I'm a big sushi fan, so if you are, this is the place to go. First, the spicy mayo sushi is great, it has fried crab, and cooked crab meat on top with spicy mayo. I rate it 5 stars in taste, but 2-3 stars in health due to fried fish bites. Now, the chicken I'm not sure what it's made of, but I know it's good! The white and brown dressing on it is this sweet AND salty, which complements the sweet and sour chicken, believe me, the flavors sound distorted, but they are good. I rate it 4 stars in taste, and 2 stars in health. Finally, I saved best for last, for me at least. It just depends if you like raw fish. That's a new thing I like. Crazy, huh? Anyway, It's called the Rainbow Roll. It's the truth, it is a rainbow. They use the raw fish such as tuna, salmon, etc. in a rainbow like formation, very colorful and delicious. I rate it 5 stars in taste, and 5 stars in health!!!! So that's Sushi Masu, Carrollton, TX. Stay tuned daily!

Sandwich #2: Regenerative Heart Sandwich

This sandwich is a quick, healthy sandwich that is tasty and doesn't involve a lot of ingredients. If you are done working out, or getting ready for work, these heart sandwiches will wake you up! Here's the ingredients: Pre sliced turkey, pre cut in half strawberries, low fat mayonnaise, low sodium mustard, a toothpick, and whole grain (Preferred) or white bread. To make it, first spread the low fat mayonnaise on both bread slices. For the bread slice on the top, if you want, squirt a droplet of mustard and spread it around. Ok, now for the placement. Place the pre sliced turkey in any position you want it on the bottom slice of bread. Place two more slices after that in a position to where all the turkey covers the area of the slice. Then easily place the top slice on and find the center to place the toothpick. To make the heart, take a pre cut in half strawberry and stick it on the other side of the toothpick! Now your done! The taste of the turkey won't override the sweetness of the strawberry, so it actually tastes pretty good! I give this 5 stars and 5 stars on health rating!

My Sandwiches!

I love sandwiches. They are healthy, and tasty. Therefore I make homemade, beautiful summer sandwiches. Summer is coming up, so I decided to show you one of my sandwich recipes! The recipe is: whole grain or white bread with low fat mayonnaise, then turkey ( of your choice ) then lettuce, onion, and then top it with the top bread that's dressed with low fat mayonnaise! After that, take a toothpick and stick a olive, or, if you don't have an olive, take a mini pickle or fold lettuce to a tiny square and stick that to the toothpick. Find the center of the sandwich an stick the toothpick clean through without it sticking from the other side. Then to top it off, take your favorite brand of chips, fruit, it vegetable and place it around the sandwich. The rating for this sandwich is 4 stars, but 5 stars in health. Speaking of health, be sure to look out for my health refill sandwich recipe! More sandwich recipes will be posted weekly, and if you have any ideas for restaurants, please comment!

Mama's Sugar Delight!

You can't compare any good dessert to this. My mom created the best dish ever. It's also very easy! I call it Mama's Sugar Delights. It's a simple dessert that involves a fried triangular dough, covered in brown sugar, and stacked into a pyramid! I rate it 5 stars, but 3 stars for healthiness. Oh, that's another thing. I will now rate things also by healthiness! So remember the recipe is to fry circular or triangular shaped dough, then sprinkle brown sugar on it!! Simple! Enjoy!
